Working class people just do not have the surplus funds to support so called " progressive " Democrats. The campaign money goes from the wealthy class to Democratic or Republican candidates of THEIR choice. Often the wealthy Americans -like the CVS woman-executive in Rhode Island who now wants to be the next governor of the state - contribute generously to candidates of both the major parties. They mostly consider third parties anathema unless they serve some private agenda that has nothing to do with real interests of the American working class. From the point of view of the working class ALL American elections are rigged ! The plutocracy wins all the time-whatever their internal disputes.
