The inevitable , inexorable LIFE CYCLE

["Generations of children, and more than a few adults, cried along with Kirk when his character Travis Coates tearfully pulled the trigger to end his beloved dog's life in Old Yeller in 1957."]
One of the great themes of human life for centuries is the inevitable, inexorable LIFE CYCLE. The baby becomes the toddler, becomes the child, becomes the adolescent , becomes the adult , become the mother, the father, the grandmother, the grandfather, the beloved but LIFELESS person in the casket , in the ground of the cemetery. Now hear " Amazing Grace " .
The same for our beloved pets. Every single creature on earth is doomed from the moment of birth. More often than not LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL . Thornton Wilder's play ends with a question : Do only saints UNDERSTAND life ?
