George Orwell- a democratic socialist - explained why socialists are often surprised for very HUMAN reasons

[“One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words ‘Socialism’ and ‘Communism’ draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, ‘Nature Cure’ quack, pacifist, and feminist in England.” Some of those categories should be dropped and new ones should be added, such as gender studies students. However, the sentiment is correct. An ideology that appeals to a large number of oddballs has little hope of being adopted by the average man.]
My own experience with various " Marxist political parties and organizations is that THEY HAVE NO ROOTS in the very working class that they would liberate. Also they ignore common sense emotional truths : like the majority of human beings on this planet are attached to one of three or four great religions. They will never lead a SOCIALIST mass movement under the banner of militant atheism.
Winston Church - a far cry from a Nazi fascist - observed how prominent intellectual Jews were in Russian Revolution . A hard core of neurotic Jews - very hostile to Christianity - constitute many Marxist parties even today after the collapse of the old Soviet Union. The inner circles of these " Trotskyist " parties are often controlled by " personality cult " ( exactly like Stalin's ! ) leaders with impressive private bank accounts . Some of these Marxist parties start off as anti-Zionist. but end by being pro-Zionist or soft on Zionism. And they routinely smear other leftists around the world-not besotted with APARTHEID Israel- as " anti- Semitic ". More and more their minds are captured by DNC based identity politics and political correctness. Amazingly they just forget the CLASS STRUGGLE .
