Whatever the reason and the bureaucratic paper- work- obstacle course , an elderly man , 73 years old , already on Social Security Disability, Medicare, and Medicaid, HOMELESS for weeks , should be able to communicate his plight immediately to some competent STATE social worker. That social worker should listen patiently to the details of his plight. Could not the Red Cross get involved here ? I will forward a past letter-to-the-editor on my old friend " Ragged Dave "- UPDATED .
