50 Years Later: Poverty and The Other America | Dissent Magazine

Sent from my LG Mobile

As a Democratic Socialist myself I have been around for a while too. Since the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution "vanguard " parties have been around for more than a hundred years. I am more familiar with the fate of the Socialist Workers Party and the Socialist Equality party. All victims of political hubris. WE are the self-appointed Vanguard of the working class. None of the leaders seem to notice that their party has no roots whatever in the working-class! Karl Marx had great insight into the exploitation and oppression that is the essence of capitalist Society. But dogmatic Marxism and Stalinism have wrecked the Left for more than a century. Still nothing is more ludicrous than believing that you can reform the Democratic Party. And with the likes of Senator Bernie Sanders " the ideal socialist leader for successful dentists " .
