Radical Ron did not vote in 2020 - and why

As a democratic socialist I could not vote for Biden or Trump in the 2020 presidential election. But did not the Democrats from day one in 2016 seek to discredit Trump's election as a Russia hatched conspiracy ? I thought his election in 2016 was at least as legitimate as the flawed Elector College system permits . It is just the Electoral College system which stymies ALL third parties - on the Left and on the eight in " OUR democracy ". NOTE : I could not vote either for totalitarian " Marxist " parties - all petrified Marxism, Leninism, Trotskyism with some BIG BROTHER waiting in the wings .

No war on Iran !

If mainstream news media reports - always deceitful - are true, President Trump was just talked out of an international war crime - a surprise bombing of Iran . Since Iran is still a puny threat to the security of the United States, the real democratic socialists of the world ( not based in the Democratic Party ) can surmise that Trump wanted to do a spectacular and horrendous favor for our oh-so-Democratic ally in the Middle East Zionist Apartheid Israel. I doubt if the militant Zionist clique in the oh-so progressive Democratic Party would strongly condemn Trump- still popular in Israel - for this definite war crime. An Iran without nuclear weapons would be a rational response to an Israel without nuclear weapons, to a United States without nuclear weapons . Clearly the United States has been devastated by the Corona virus pandemic - a national emergency . We can hardly cope with this national emergency : What " crackpot realism " ( to use American radical sociologist C. Wright Mills'phrase ) would advise ANY US president that nuclear war is winnable and limitable ? DEFUND THE AMERICAN MILITARY makes just as much sense in 2020 as DEFUND THE POLICE. Both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King were openly anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist at the end of their lives ( both suspiciously assassinated ) . They made a connection between racism and capitalism , between racism and imperialism. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I will show you a bloodsucker " " Does " socialist " Bernie Sanders , who supported that pillar of the Establishment , that friend of the military industrial complex , now President Elect Biden , appreciate the words of Malcolm X ?Does a portrait of Eugene V.                    Freed from the arch-villain of " OUR Democracy " , President Donald Trump , what will the considerably less than triumphant Democratic Party have to offer, beaten down on all fronts, working class America ?

                   The mainstream media over-vilified -often smeared-Trump since his first day as LEGITIMATE president of the United States . Since the 2020 national election resembles so much the 2016 national election, how can the 2016 election be branded " rigged " ( by Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin )  ?

                   Are not Trump supporters justified in questioning the moral legitimacy of President-Elect Joe Biden ?

         Speaking as a lifelong democratic socialist I think that the Democratic Party loyalists gave us more lessons in FASCISM than conservative Republicans.  Again and again they mocked the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization .  They showed a supercilious attitude toward devout Christians and religious freedom in  general. 

                  What kind of " socialists " in the Democratic Party could embrace US militarism ( " The Arrogance of Power "  )  and snuggle up to DEEP STATE intrigue ?             What was so progressive about the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism  ?

                Amazing how many so called radical leftists smear the white working class in the United States  - which owns and controls NOTHING - as incurably racist, sexist , and homophobe.  Whether attached to the " far left " of the Democratic Party or to various sectarian Marxist parties these " radicals " can only offer the world  STALINISM REDUX , what the American philosopher Eric Hoffer would call " True Believer " totalitarianism. 

    " Science " was also a god that failed in the vanished Soviet Union.

              Social scientists- as opposed to academic charlatans- have studied the CLASS nature of " OUR democracy " for more than a hundred years. Read Theodore Dreiser's ( author of " An American Tragedy " ) political autobiography " My Newspaper Days " ... " About Myself ". 

            Way back in 1920 the American socialist Eugene V. Debs lectured the country about the fraudulent nature ( with or without " fair " elections ) of the Two Party System . BOTH parties, Debs contended , served the ruling  capitalist class, the American plutocracy , really LESS than the ONE PERCENT.

         Since the majority of voters are still WORKING CLASS by any criterion  you would think that true democracy would produce a victory for WE THE PEOPLE in every election. 

             In 2020 the American voters are NOT divided into working class white supremacists for Trump and " progressive " idealists voting for Joe Biden.

            Clearly the corrupt TWO PARTY system is in meltdown.  The very idea of SOCIALISM is anathema to both the hard core leadership of the Democratic Party and the OPENLY pro- capitalist business interests Republican Party.

                 If the plutocracy has turned against President Donald Trump ,it is only because he too well represents this class.  Police brutality and a BIG LIE mainstream news media are inevitable under decaying capitalism. 

                     The only way out of the now permanent crisis of the TWO PARTY system - a PEACEFUL way out - is the quick formation of a mass Labor Party in the USA - similar to the British Labor Party but more class conscious and militant .

             Sober Republicans -not Trump die hards - have every reason to suspect SUDDEN DEATH results in a half dozen battleground states controlled by Democratic Party machines as corrupt as ever.

              But a national government meltdown might be avoided if the Congress and the Senate can declare - without changing the Electoral College stature in the next election  -that the winner of the 2020 presidential election is the winner of POPULAR VOTE. Guess who ?  And get the Supreme Court to bless the bipartisan decision as justified by a national emergency. The votes counts and recounts after November 3rd  not being above suspicion for either side.

        As a life long independent democratic socialist I cannot bless the growing fascism in the Democratic Party . Yes, they are socialists only in the sense that Mussolini was in his notorious " March on Rome " in the 1920s.

                  President Donald Trump seems more like a " Last Hurrah " conservative than an American Hitler.

                   The present political crisis in the United States is a death agony crisis of the TWO PARTY SYSTEM . Democrats vs. Republicans just cannot regulate or contain the CLASS contradictions - and the culture wars - arising from the capitalist system. But WE THE PEOPLE do not need a Stalinist  totalitarian revival .

                        Joe Biden in an odd non-sequitur  : " God protect our troops " . Is this DEEP STATE praying ?  Recall it was Biden's Democrats who promoted the HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism .  How oh so PROGRESSIVE !  The military industrial complex breathes a sigh of relief !

                 As  a lifelong democratic socialist I could not even find a " lesser evil " in the 2020 American presidential election.  The Electoral College system seems to defy popular democracy in principle.   Granted that Joe Biden, like Hillary Clinton in 2016, won the popular vote, the American Constitution still recognizes the Electoral College as decisive .  The sudden -and suspicious- change of fate for President Trump in  contested states like Pennsylvania will make the election of Joe Biden seem rigged ( by DEEP STATE ?) to millions of Trump supporters.   Could WE THE PEOPLE end up with a dual presidency with Trump the New York City based president and Joe Biden  based in the White House ?

                    Remember ancient Rome once had two kings !

     I could not find even a lesser evil third party presidential candidate.  The very sectarian Marxist socialist parties are completely out of touch with the working class they would lead -and weirdly enough have all turned Stalinist, enemies of the Free Speech, Free Thought tradition of Western Civilization.

           The type of " socialists " paranoid Republicans see taking over the Democratic Party are certainly not traditional socialists .They are just illiberal liberals flirting with Anti-Fa fascism.

      In the 21st century the socialist ideal can only survive as a quasi -religious movement not obsessed with conquering state power.
