Recommended - a dose of Christian humility before the Supreme Force of the universe
["Before I thought his cheer leading the global warming hypothesis was purely for advancement of his political ideology but I now see he truly is willfully ignorant of the physics involved. It's simple enough to dispute that claim and though I don't have all my notes in front of me I'd ask the doctor how to explain how is it that during ice ages the Earth has had atmospheric CO2 concentrations many times that of the present? "]
With no intent of smearing honest research scientists , I am beginning to think that SCIENCE is another " god that failed " in the 20th century . Bloviating jackasses like celebrity astrophysicist Neil De Grasse Tyson now have as much credibility for me as late night 1990s Keven Trudeau TV infomercials on MEGA-VITAMINS or MEGA-MEMORY .
Whatever the real CAUSE of drastic climate change human beings must find a way to adapt to it as they did in the past . There are limits to growth . Production for profit could easily go the way of the dinosaurs. Clearly life in the future for human beings will remain a grim struggle for existence . Any " socialist " movement promising UTOPIA is either innocently day dreaming or actively deceiving .
Any scientists talking like the arrogant , obnoxious New Atheists , making fun of the world view of Christianity, of hundreds of millions of people on this planet or of any other major religion , will flop miserably as public voices of ALL-KNOWING SCIENCE .
As atomic bomb scientist Robert Oppenheimer said way back in 1945 after Hiroshima and Nagasaki : " Scientists know sin ".
WE humans will never be masters of the Earth . Nor do we have any glorious FUTURE IN SPACE .
Recommended - a dose of Christian humility before the Supreme Force of the universe .
J. Robert Oppenheimer
[ " Despite the vision and farseeing wisdom of our wartime heads of state, the physicists have felt the peculiarly intimate responsibility for suggesting, for supporting, and in the end, in large measure, for achieving the realization of atomic weapons. Nor can we forget that these weapons, as they were in fact used, dramatized so mercilessly the inhumanity and evil of modern war. In some sort of crude sense which no vulgarity, no humor, no overstatement can quite extinguish, the physicists have known sin; and this is a knowledge which they cannot lose. " ]
