Why won't the mainstream news media in the United States let the voice of the oppressed , dispossessed Palestinians speak for themselves ? Why is anti-Zionism invariably dismissed as really anti-Semitism ? Even courageous anti-Zionist Jew intellectuals like the late Howard Zinn, Professor Noam Chomsky , Norman Finkelstein are virtually blackballed and smeared in the news media ( as " self-hating Jews " )
A self-described JEWISH state is a mockery even of bourgeois democracy . Honest, objective, competent journalists have documented Zionist Israel as an APARTHEID country.
Indeed Benjamin Netanyahu tried to consolidate his power and his party leadership by appealing to RACE HATRED of the Palestinians . Zionist Jew Ayn Rand wrote that the Israeli settler class was simply superior to the native Palestinians.
For some reason " racist " , " white supremacist " Donald Trump is highly popular in Israel . You can say that idolatry for the modern state of Israel has dulled the once sensitive Jewish social conscience.
Of course, I still think Israel has a " right to exist " . But only as a NORMAL democracy . I hope some of the virtues of Western Civilization could spread to the Arab world . But not by " The Arrogance of Power " ( title of Senator J. William Fulbright 's anti-war book circa 1965 ) .
