Why Marxist parties have no MASS APPEAL

Many " progressive " thinkers here can feel your frustration . Part of the problem - and whole books have been written about this - is that so many " socialist " parties - in particular sectarian Marxist parties - for all their talk about THE WORKERS - are totally out of touch with common people . Having no MASS APPEAL they delude themselves that THE MASSES will someday - as if by magic- discover their wretched, pathetic organizations and accept marching orders from stick-in the mud , neurotic geeks .

I think Martin Luther King could still be an inspiration to democratic socialists. Reach out to Christian Churches and various community organizations . Find inspiration in the lively Harlem street rallies of Black Muslim Malcolm X. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I'll show you a blood sucker ".

Never in my life have I met a working class person who thought - if he or she could think at all - that capitalists and capitalism were just wonderful . Long before Karl Marx Jesus Christ and His New Testament had harsh words for the rich and greedy . But snarky intellectual Marxists are always mocking Christianity .
