As a democratic socialist myself I was a principled " critical supporter " of Bernie Sanders back in 2016. Sanders went on to WIN the Democrat Presidential Primary here in Rhode Island. In April of 2016 Sanders attracted a crowd of some 7000 in Roger William Park , Providence , on the Temple to Music grounds.
The REST OF THE STORY is not so happy . Having shocked the corrupt Rhode Democrat Party here, Sanders still got no " respect ". At the Democratic Convention the RI delegates delivered the nominating votes to " Corrupt Hillary " , " Hawk ", " Wall St. Hillary " . Then it was clear that the DNC had sabotaged the Bernie Sanders " political revolution ".
Even sadder : Bernie ends up endorsing Harpy Hillary ! I did have a forlorn hope of " socialist " Bernie Sanders calling for a third party , a mass party of LABOR , of the working class, of the anti-ONE PERCENT .
And today ALL the Democrat presidential candidates seem to embrace the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism and cozy up to the shadow government of the United States, the CIA , the FBI , the Pentagon War Crimes Machine.
For all his good qualities " socialist " Bernie Sanders is like the proverbial snow ball in hell in the present day Democrat Party.
But hats off to him whenever he says the right things IN THESE TIMES.
I will not brush Bernie off until once again he endorses HILLARY CLINTON for president of the United States.
As a democratic socialist I endorse NOBODY !
