I don't see how suppressing FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT can advance the ABCs of SOCIALISM - which a mostly PROPERTY-LESS MAJORITY easily accepts with FRIENDLY PERSUASION - will lead to any SOCIALIST government . I have a long quarrel with the sectarian TRUE BELIEVER Marxist Left. Their parties and organizations do contain the seeds of totalitarianism. Unchecked PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHT will lead to the collapse of human civilization. UNCHECKED CAPITALISM is a daily threat to safety and the sanity of ALL human beings - even the ONE PERCENT themselves. Just consider the lunacy of TV drug advertising ! ]

No honest " democratic socialist " - influenced by secular or religious humanism - will think that " OUR democracy " is the last word in human social evolution. Critical intelligence has examined American capitalism and American imperialism for more than a century now . This SYSTEM needs daily lies and brutality just to survive. But I don't see how any existing socialist " vanguard " parties can resonate with THE MASSES with their TRUE BELIEVER ( see Eric Hoffer ) dogmatism . To be sure , the Democrat Party is an ideological mess .There not political dogma but ruling class GROUP THINK prevails. GROUP THINK is not less repulsive to democracy than GOD SAVE THE KING ! The slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King had the right idea : ORGANIZE the COMUNITY rather than recruit passionate activists to THE PARTY . Make FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE respected . Otherwise the New World Order will also be a " 1984 " nightmare . No democratic socialist should join the Kafkaesque IMPEACH TRUMP circus - it can only be compared to the Moscow Trials.- this HATE TRUMP , New McCarthyism.
