For me, a long time democratic socialist , science - celebrity - clown Neil De Grasse Tyson represents the CORRUPTION of Science in the interests of the military industrial complex. Whatever topic Neil bloviates on he has all the credibility of an early Sunday morning Kevin Trudeau TV infomercial.
And his obnoxious New Atheist tone in talking about religious faith makes him less credible than most Hell Fire Christian TV evangelists .
No doubt the New Democrats will treat him as a secular saint . But SCIENCE is also a god that failed in the 20th century .
