There is hubris even in climate change science

As a democratic socialist I more than appreciate Karl Marx's insight into the exploitative , reckless nature of capitalism . Today global capitalism is an enemy not just of the workers of the world but of LIFE on EARTH . A socialist world government would certainly make us less helpless before the multiple forces of dramatic climate change . But " socialism " must not make a false promise of increasing ABUNDANCE and greater social equality in defiance of the impossibility of UNLIMITED GROWTH , EXPONENTIAL growth of both industry and population on a very finite planet. The world we live is more than 4 billion years old . With no people on the planet it has experienced extreme climate change . I read that once the entire Good Earth was a huge ice ball and for millions of years. So even today the human race is relatively puny as a natural FORCE shaking up the balance of nature. Long periods of UNBALANCE are also natural. God or the Cosmos might have different plans for homo sapiens whatever world government can achieve. LIFE may be eternal in the cosmos but not the human species. There is hubris even in our SCIENCE - also a god that failed even after revealing much TRUTH about the nature of things.
