But Israel is paying for its ORIGINAL SIN : the displacement and dispossession of thousands of Palestinians . We rarely read the perspective of anti-Zionist Jews like Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky , Norman Finkelstein .
I recall that the last chapter of the famous journalist Vincent Sheehan's classic " Personal History " shows him sickened by documented atrocities connected to the birth of Israel. Owing its existence to British and American imperialism in the Middle East was not an auspicious beginning for modern Israel .
