This on Jeffrey Epstein from FORWARD.COM :

By Howard Lovy , July 9

[ " When I heard that Jeffrey Epstein had been arrested on sex-trafficking charges, I cringed. I’m sure I was not the only Jewish person who did, or whose first thought was,Why does this sorry excuse for a human have to be Jewish? And I probably also wasn’t the only Jewish person whose second thought was, Given that he is Jewish, why does he have to have such a Jewish-sounding name?
It’s a natural response to a people who have been hounded by anti-Semites, to cringe when one of our own behaves in such a horrifying manner. And of course, it didn’t take long for the anti-Semites to crawl out of their holes with the reactions that prompted mine. " ]

Is it possible to have an honest discussion of anti-Semitism without bringing out the role Zionist Israel has played in the corruption of the once respectable Jewish social conscience ? I have observed numerous Jewish intellectuals - once socialist internationalists- corrupted by an idolatrous worship of the state of Apartheid Israel. " The Arrogance of Power " certainly can apply to a whole people. After World War II no less a humanist than Albert Einstein damned the whole German people and the German nation for the Holocaust . Since the triumph of the 1967 war that captured the Golan Heights from Egypt so many once cosmopolitan intellectual Jews have become decidedly ethno-centric . So have the Jewish people in the USA and around the world. What is so" democratic " about a cloyingly Jewish Israel ? That is not even bourgeois democracy !
This " New Arrogance " is a big factor in the creation of a Harvey Weinstein or a Jeffrey Epstein. To be sure , Harvard could SEE NO EVIL here for decades.
If what I say here is perceived as " anti-Semitism crawling out of its hole " , then that only proves we are seeing a revival of German Weimar Republic days moral decay.
