Film noir " Cosmic Horror " of the Haunted Fifties returns to middle class America

Given the CHAOS in California how can it hope to cope with an influx of desperate, sickly migrants now languishing on the Mexican border ? Where do the " progressive " Democrats want them to go ? Can nation-state boundaries be mocked anywhere on the planet in the absence of effective world government ?

With earthquake news ( two major quakes in as many days, the second ten times stronger than the first ) , horrendous forest fires, flesh eating bacteria , brain eating amoebas, toxic seaweed invasion ,  killer "  Jaws " sharks feasting on once safe , idyllic beaches , germ carrying lizards taking over whole towns, Dark Age diseases in homeless centers [ " Climate change could bring bubonic plague back to Los Angeles" ]  I am reminded of the film noir science fiction movies that mesmerized me as I kid in

   the  Haunted Fifties : like " The Day The World Ended " ,  " X the Unknown " , " The Blob ", " Creature from the Black Lagoon ", " Them " , " I Married A Monster From Outer Space ", " Angry Red Planet " . Later " The Night of the Living Dead ".

                   H.P. Lovecraft 's " Cosmic Horror " returning with a vengeance .

Not the best of times for the arrogant " New Atheism " .
