Like Rhett Butler in " Gone With The Wind " I have a weakness for " lost causes ". Rhett finally joined the Confederacy when it was too late. But for me and for you that serene MONASTERY will have to wait.
" Notre Dame " - an ancient relic for " nostalgic Catholicism. Getting my coffee at Dunkin Donuts this morning, I stared at the smoldering ruins of FAITH on the TV screen. I was tempted to buy the Providence Journal with a front page headline of the disaster. An accident ( very careless for a precious cathedral ) or was it TERRORISM ?
Anyway, I would not buy the Providence Journal -now at THREE DOLLARS ( $3;00 )
