The Judge Brett Kavanaugh melodrama showed how easily ANY prominent man -with political enemies-can have his career ruined by irresponsible and egocentric allegations of sexual harassment even going back decades.
Judge Kavanaugh-whom I and others on the Left defended against witch hunt smears- was vulnerable as a conservative Catholic. Tyson was NOT vulnerable as a liberal's liberal MAN OF SCIENCE . What was so liberal about Neil DeGrasse Tyson's boosterism of the military industrial complex in contrast to his " mentor ( ? ) Carl Sagan who was a true left wing HUMANIST .
Socialist humanists are not interested in promoting the bombastic, God hating New Atheism. These obnoxious New Atheists invariably support U.S. militarism, favor CAPITALISM not SOCIALISM, and are nearly unanimous in their support for Zionist Apartheid Israel - which is led not by Orthodox Jews but by anti-religious Any Rand Zionists.
In his last book Tyson pointed out how much Imperial America needs research physicists and astrophysicists for its future war plans. We democratic socialists call that prostitution of talent.
But this has nothing to do with Neil DeGrasse Tyson's GUILT in these reported sexual harassment stories. Most working class socialists are not on the # MeToo bandwagon.
