COMMENT liberty suddenly ended all over the place. That was also in the interest of " OUR democracy " ?
The local radio and TV news celebrity- persona here in Rhode Island Gene Valicenti ( 630WPRO) - mostly a rather moderate voice- personally editorialized against COMMENT voices in the Providence Journal saying the medium had become a " cesspool ". Soon the Providence Journal dropped COMMENTS while still saying " Join the Conversation " on their editorial page.
In fact , COMMENT liberty gave on line readers an instant feedback on the veracity and credibility of all establishment leaning NEWS reporting. A FALSE or hateful comment can also be quickly checked. Rarely any need to BAN anybody !
How can Trump's cry of FAKE NEWS not resonate with the working class Left ? How can a lying press not be the " enemy of the people " ( not that the right wing blowhard Donald Trump is THEIR champion ) ?
Hardly any mainstream news media reporter questions the RUSSIA AS OUR ENEMY theme in the Kafkaesque Mueller Russia investigation. What is so moral and high principled about COLLUDING in nuclear World War III ?
