Where was Donald Trump in 1968 ? No doubt SERVING his class !

For years now bourgeois historians and journalists have been trying to deconstruct the ugly image of past American wars giving them a military marching band patriotic glow. The next big stupid war is being prepared with the old Wilsonian blather about freedom and democracy and " OUR way of life ".
No more than the Great War will the next big war make the world safe for democracy. Could the political fate of " Corrupt Hillary " be as momentous as that of one Arch Duke Ferdinand in 1914 ? The HATE RUSSIA hysteria is based on this ?

Even a naïve high school student -before being sucked into a military career - might ask : " Does OUR way of life exclude other ways of life ? " Is Trump's way of life and Hillary Clinton's way of life MY way of life ?

An American film like " Born on the Fourth of July " ( Ron Kovic still works for peace last time I checked ) showing the ugliness of the war against " communism " in Vietnam is rare. FEEL GOOD CRAP is the rule for most war movies and documentaries.

In truth our Veterans Days and Memorial Days actually honor WAR - not the soldiers and sailors sacrificed in it.

Only TRUTH not the silver lined fog of memory can serve the cause of peace. One Navy veteran of World II was cynical about the acclaimed " Victory at Sea " TV series : " Nothing glorious about being dead ", he commented . Dead ears can't hear stirring, " patriotic " music.

In vain did the 60s radicals warn against the " American Death Culture " ? How many ex-radicals , ex-pacifists, ex-socialists have joined the Living Dead ? They have smothered the voice and conscience of their youth .

I wonder : where was Donald Trump in 1968 ? SERVING his class, I am sure.
