Only socialists stand up for majority rule in the USA

[ Significantly, Chuck Todd, the political director for NBC News, floated his wholly unsubstantiated and wildly improbable “fear” that the “this could be some Russian operation too, designed to do what is happening now... it is dividing us.” ]

I thought I just IMAGINED hearing this from Chuck Todd ! The American mainstream news media does think working class people are hopelessly lacking in critical intelligence. How annoying is THE NEWS !

As if this FAKE NEWS ( ? ) were not enough I had to listen at least ten times this morning to the " news " about a cute little boy who was " bullied " in school for showing up with his finger nails painted red - " like a girl ". The father played the role of politically correct " hero " and defended his " bullied " son on social media- which soon went viral.

A Rhode Island " independent " candidate for state office here scolded an opponent for calling the sacred drug of the independent's " church " MARIJUANA - the moral equivalent, he thinks , of the N-word ( which he spelled out ) . In the future all decent citizens here must call the well known popular drug " cannabis . The incident made national news for Rhode Island. Our local politics- the race for governor- also made the front page of the Boston Globe. Each candidate pretends that he or she is nicer than the nasty other two.

   " .
Did Hegel or Marx ever have to weigh in on such issues ? I will consult Leon Trotsky's " Problems of Everyday Life " .

I did like a reference to the " tyranny of the minority " on local talk radio.

A badly needed 11th Commandment : " Thou shalt be kind to all eccentrics ". ( But still there is MAJORITY RULE in a democracy ) .

You have to be a socialist to stand up for democratic principles in the USA today.
