House fire at vacant property kills two in Hamtramck, Michigan

You will never read or hear in the mainstream capitalist news media about any connection between the permanent crisis of homelessness in the richest country in the world and cold hearted property rights.

Certain individuals are chosen as voices or guardian angels of these homeless people rather than let them speak for themselves. When they do what a story they tell of neglect, official contempt , police brutality. Often homelessness is just a social black hole from which the damned -no matter how young and educable- cannot escape.

More than a century ago the American writer O' Henry wrote a famous short story ( I read in the 7th grade ) about a homeless " bum " in New York City named Soapy who tries -in vain until after he decides to reform himself outside a church- to get himself arrested. Prison was so much more comfortable come the harsh winter. It still is.

Radio news this morning : Dunkin Donuts employees caught pouring cold water on the face of a homeless man.
Some homeless people have even been set on fire.

. Does not the obvious NEGLECT of the homeless send the message that they are literally NOTHING to worry about ?
Visible homelessness also sends a message to working people : this is how YOU can end up if you step out of line with the ruling class boss. So much for the higher morality ( consult FBI's James Comey) in capitalist America !
