The Catholic Church and the error of COLLECTIVE GUILT

[Not long after that at Saint Bernadette Church in Monroeville, Pa., Santori met Father William Yockey, who according to the recent grand jury report, sexually assaulted him for about two years.

"I felt that, I mean, I sometimes couldn't look people in the eye because they would know," says Santori. "I felt that everybody knew that I was sexually abused." ]

Just a LEGAL question : if this guy had to spend " up to $2 million on drugs and alcohol " should THAT be charged to the collective Catholic Church whose humble millions of faithful see themselves as the " Body of Christ " ?

What if the young man had been messed up by military service in Vietnam , Afghanistan, Iraq ? Could the Pentagon be liable for a life of drug addiction and alcoholism ?

The Catholic Church is being punished collectively here . This is wrong .
