" Accessory to War " by Neil deGrasse Tyson promotes militarism

Based on the reviews I just read Neil deGrasse Tyson 's book comes across as an apology or perhaps a celebration of the Imperialist America war machine and uncritical ( for a scientist ! ) acceptance of the infamous ( since Eisenhower's warning ) military-industrial complex. War is good for science and science is good for war ?

The plutocracy whose voice is the New York Times will never sell the next big war to tens of millions of working class Americans.

Tyson should reflect on the thoughts of J. Robert Oppenheimer after Hiroshima and Nagasaki : " Scientists now know sin " .

And " I have become death , the destroyer of worlds ".

An exploration of the bonds, fiscal and intellectual, between science and the military.
