Migration crisis : when the situation gets desperate so do human beings

More and more it does seem that ordinary human decency is just incompatible everywhere with the NATION STATE - at the United States- Mexican border or that other " weeping wall " in Israel separating two ancient peoples with a just claim for a right to exist in this perpetually tense region.
No socialist worthy of the name can be anything but a socialist internationalist.

What is going on in Mexico to spark mass migrations ? Would it not make more sense to begin to solve the " illegal " immigrants problem there ?

Most ordinary human beings are " bonded " for better or worse to the land of their birth. I once asked my father, the son of Italian immigrants, why did his parents ever leave poetic, " Sunny Italy " ?. Today " Sunny Italy " is turning away desperate migrants from Africa .

When the situation gets desperate so do human beings.

ALL the regions producing desperate migrants have this in common: their cultures and countries have been destroyed by world imperialism - now led by the United States and " Old Europe ".

Obviously tens of thousands of desperate people headed for the " land of milk and honey " are just hallucinating. Under capitalism jobs cannot be " created " by fiat. The desperate refugee must be exploitable - by capitalist criteria.

The world refugee crisis demands a United Nations organization that does not presently exist.

The cynical Democrats just want to seem more NICE than those nasty Republicans- and the nastier Donald Trump . That will return political power to them in the coming election ?
Also the utter dependence of children on THEIR family, the strained nuclear family, is a topic of interest for SOCIALIST feminists.

In a just world will any kid's fate depend on the parent's economic status ? Of course, the vast majority of parents LOVE their children. But this love can be so sadly impotent under capitalism.
