USA - a growing police state

" The United States is a deeply class-divided society, in which two political parties of the financial aristocracy do the bidding of a state apparatus of coercion and violence of almost unimaginable dimensions. "

I completely support the campaign of World Socialist Web Site for an Internet free from gross POLICE STATE interference.

Just a hint of probable POLICE STATE crackdown on the " free speech " tradition in the USA .

Without warning a few months ago I discovered that I was " BANNED FROM THE BROWN DAILY HERALD WEB SITE ". This is the voice of student ( ? ) opinion at Brown University . My comments in the past were the same in tone and substance as my comments here. Sometimes a comment REMOVED is justified for some legal reason or the web site's right not to have its own agenda undermined.

I informed the editorial page editor of the Providence Journal, Edward Achorn about this . To be brief, he was contemptuously uninterested. Soon the Providence Journal simply ended COMMENT opportunity for everybody !

Yesterday I caught a breaking news headline on CRANSTON PATCH : the Division of Motor Vehicles computer system had been restored . I wrote ONE sentence saying that the state computers should be programmed for COMMON SENSE .

Right away : " YOUR COMMENT HAS BEEN REMOVED AS SPAM " !

I don't think I should be dismissed here as a paranoid " socialist " crank . By the way , I should remind Ed Achorn that the " socialist " , Bernie Sanders, WON the Democratic Primary here in April 2016.
Of course , that is just what the ruling class fears most: any coherent, systematic, well informed criticism of " OUR way of life ".
The World Socialist Web Site needs all the good will and support it can get .
