Sad lion story ... one of the last songs my mother heard on her death bed : " Born Free ".

He bottle-fed a lion cub; 10 years later, it attacked him and was shot dead
               

With the exception of our beloved canine and feline pets animals are not conditioned by Nature to be HUMAN FRIENDLY . This is still a very sad story as the 72 year man was attacked by the lion cub he once bottle fed. I recall a beloved pet monkey tearing the face off of its woman owner.
The lion might be forgiven  if its owner ponders the popular song " Born Free " - one of the last " You Tube " songs my elderly mother heard on her death bed. Wild animals do not fit into  Walt Disney film sentimentality . Not even " Bambi " .
