Of course , the media will never publicly identify these executioners of whatever is left of " Democracy in America ".
In many other ways I get a whiff of the POLICE STATE here in Rhode Island. In Cranston there is much more frequently heard police sirens - as if there were a Chicago style crime wave going on . The public library has a full time security guard who makes regular rounds checking computer screens ( for Porn only ? ) .
I recently discovered that one can be arrested at Goddard Memorial State Park at night for discreetly urinating in the woods.
When my friend passed a red light in Warwick , a cop asked me-a passenger in the old Lincoln Town car- for my ID . I showed him my expired RI non-license ID -and a RIPTA BUS pass not expired . " Officer Friendly " never returned my bus pass.
I guess I looked too much like an old hippie with my longish hair .
