" Cinema Paradiso " an antidote to the New Puritanism

 

Providence's Cable Car Cinema to close after 42 years
               

Just a sentimental touch: on the last night Cable Car Cinema might feature the 1990 foreign film classic " Cinema Paradiso ". The last moments of the film showing BANNED scenes of men kissing women, " ravishing " them in " Gone with the Wind " style,  is an antidote to the effete New Puritanism of "ME TOO "-ism. 

                  Will DNC appointed NEW FEMINISTS soon be censoring films for " indecency " like the comic old Italian priest in " Cinema Paradiso " ?   In THE END human nature - both MALE and FEMALE - makes an emotional comeback .
