Rather than run for office to make the world safer for " transgender people " they should thank God that long before daffy " identity politics " New Testament Christianity preached LOVE for all human beings- especially the DIFFERENT, the stranger in a strange land. 

But please find me a respected head of the Biology Dept. of any Rhode Island college or university who now insists that GENDER is a social construct ? How shocked Charles Darwin would be who wrote about " sexual selection " . How shocked Sigmund Freud who wrote about lusty ID . And what about Alfred Kinsey of the famed " Kinsey Report " ? 

The vast majority of working class people in Rhode Island have more pressing concerns. They do not obsess on life styles of the rich and eccentric or care much to get in touch with their inner opposite sex.
