Here is one of the rarely observed ( in the mainstream news media ) contradictions of capitalist unemployment : the jobless worker is compelled daily to search for work if he or she is collecting benefits or welfare . 

But no capitalist is obliged to hire him or her. You can hardly live without money in a capitalist economic order. So the worker knows that the very right to live is highly dubious when LABOR is a commodity . 

Likewise , health care can never be a human right as long as it is a commodity in a for- profit health care system. 

Way back in 1976 I was circulating a " Workers Bill of Rights " ( the Socialist Workers Party presidential campaign. Peter Camejo for President ) . There was listed: THE RIGHT TO A DECENT PAYING JOB . How very un-American and subversive ! 

Recently I reread Peter Camejo's classic 1968 pamphlet : " How To Make A Revolution In The United States ". All without chemicals like LSD and TNT . Just ORGANIZE ! 

Camejo later ran as a Green Party vice president candidate with Ralph Nader. He confessed that he was " green on the outside but red on the inside ".
