How long can it go on : this endless " transfer of wealth " to the already filthy rich ? Last night I was reading a book on the special problems of homeless women . What really shocked me was that this well written and compassionate book was published in 1993 !
Where are all these poor ,desperate women today? Many dead victims of a too one sided class war ?
At the end of the book the author embarrassed himself by preaching bourgeois morality to a trusting homeless woman . It seems that her devoted boy friend was doing some petty stealing for his sweetheart. Not very " ethical " of him the author thought- with a suppressed BUT ?
And the implied question : what kind of society ignores this God forsaken misery of homeless people ?
Studying the condition of the working class in England way back in 1844, a young Fred Engels was asking himself the same question about the humanity of the capitalist class.
Nightmare Manchester in 1844 . Nightmare Houston in 2017. Think about it . Don't wait for divine intervention . A long wait from here to eternity.
