Helen Keller and a Proustian memory of Providence once pristine fresh drinking water

Letter: Scott Bean: Poland Spring article, not water, left bad taste

I just bought two gallons of Poland Spring Water to get me through the weekend. There are many dishonest and self-serving lawsuits in the United States

 But in truth there is not enough government inspection and investigation of truth in advertising. There is NOT ENOUGH regulation. Only BIG GOVERNMENT can deal with all these recurring national and global catastrophes. But BIG BUSINESS has a stranglehold on a government which claims to serve all the people. 

The bigger question implied in this letter is this : should not healthy drinking water be a basic human right ? All these advertised water sanitation and filtration systems are just a PRIVATE solution to a PUBLIC problem ? 

My departed uncle once headed an engineering firm that had construction projects in places like Pakistan. Returning to the states he would bless Providence drinking water fresh from that " pristine Scituate Reservoir ".

 The neglected infrastructure has deprived us of this delightful Proustian pristine, faucet flowing MEMORY. It was Helen Keller's first sensuous WORD - W-A-T-E-R . Helen too was a convinced socialist.
