Trump’s nuclear war threat against North Korea

There is hardly a whisper of anti-war sentiment or a revival of BAN THE BOMB fervor among the " liberal " Democrats.

I have been reading " Bertrand Russell's America ", concerning the famous British philosopher's polemics with the US ruling class during the Cold War. Russell was a passionate opponent of the criminal Vietnam War . Letters he wrote to the New York Times giving evidence of US chemical warfare were either unpublished or arrogantly edited.

For me it seems that " Bertrand Russell's America " could have been written last month.

Russell was one of millions, of course, who felt humanity was on the brink of annihilation during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October of 1962

Many years later in August 2017 we can all watch that nuclear war horror movie " The Day After " with real nightmare anxiety.

The often stupefied younger generation ( to them belongs the FUTURE whatever ) must now WAKE UP .A scientific understanding of capitalist society is worth much more than a few college credits.

Nothing I learned way back in 1968 has been in the least discredited by HISTORY- which has not ended. The contradictions of capitalism have not gone way. Karl Marx was right about that !
