I had an epiphany about the migrant crisis in Europe while somewhat mesmerized by a Chinese man speaking fluent and mellifluous Italian :
There is no rational reason on earth why ANYBODY on the planet cannot be your good neighbor. Cultural identity can be nice but it can also be rotten with self-absorption, with self-centered arrogance.
From the perspective of Darwinian evolution LIFE- and most certainly INTELLIGENT LIFE claims its right to exist anywhere and everywhere.
But in Nature we also have the concept of EQUILIBRIUM . There should be a healthy balance of people coming and people going in every populated area of the planet.
Otherwise the human species will evolve into separate - and very unequal - multiple species.
Even a race of beautiful and talented individuals is not forever for the time clock of the ancient earth.
Here is a thought : perhaps the human species peaked in ancient Greece and ancient Rome 2000-3000 years ago.
Or were those wonderful Greek statues of women and warriors and Olympic athletes and brilliant philosophers - just the flattery of the gifted artist's vision ?
Perhaps even favorable climate peaked back then. It seems as if it was always springtime or early summer in my high school Ancient History text.
