The Democratic socialists that command my respect believe in the power of mass action- not in a hopeless quest for some jewel of a " lesser evil " Democrat .
Disagreement among the so called " progressive Left " could be resolved or moderated within the framework of a broad based American equivalent of the British Labor Party.
Above all such a mass party must be independent of the capitalist ruling class - which presently controls both the Democratic and Republican Parties.
