For a balanced view of H.P. Lovecraft's " racism " character defect I recommend the world prominent Lovecraft scholar S.T. Joshi. For this Lovecraft fan what matters most is his final evolution- in the last bleak years of his life- into a Norman Thomas socialist who was delighted by the re-election of " that man " FDR. Lovecraft died in near poverty in the Depression year 1937. I applaud the Lovecraft statue project.
