As a democratic socialist - an honest one - I had no trouble seeing how Republican Donald Trump was the over-demonized victim of Hillary- Democrat " identity politics " - notorious for its viciousness and intellectual dishonesty.
Perhaps the real FEAR here is based on the paranoia of identity politics fanatics who fear the wrath of the many innocent victims of " political correctness " - individuals whose careers were ruined by " illiberal liberalism ".
An illiberalism so illiberal that post-election Democrats -with the help of the mainstream news media - have created an ugly Neo-McCarthyism in the USA - with far away in Russia Vladimir Putin being blamed for the defeat of Hawk Hillary, Wall St. Hillary, " Corrupt Hillary ".
Hillary Clinton was defeated in those still depressed Rust Belt states by all those working class " deplorables " she despised- people betrayed by the Clintons with their neo-liberal disdain for the values of the New Deal and the memory - true or idealized - of FDR.
