Professional football player Colin Kaepernick's form of protest is not nearly as ridiculous as the " venerable "
Supreme Court which serves the plutocracy and stymies majority rule in
capitalist America. Racial oppression is only part of the big picture of
unacceptable social and economic inequality in this country.
But I also believe that secular national and religious rituals ( of all faiths ) deserve a measure of polite respect.
Social change is not incompatible with civility-or civilization.
Black lives matter and so does all life on earth.
