We don't get much rational explanation for this Middle East terrorism in the American mainstream news media.
So determined is it to demonize the terrorists as sub-human monsters. And we hear that they are also despicable cowards. Human history does not brand anybody a coward willing to give his or her own life for a cause-even a lunatic cause. A maniac perhaps-but not a coward.
One thing is certain : the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan - its own agenda of the New Colonialism - did breed this vicious terrorism.
The new terrorism will not be cured by the New Colonialism. In general, world Islamic culture has been shocked and traumatized - even gang bombed- by OLD colonialist powers. Recall the horror of the " Belgian Congo " ?
