For more than a year I have been a critical supporter of " socialist " Democrat Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
All the momentum and " feeling the Bern " crowd enthusiasm was with Bernie during the primaries - not hawkish " Wall St. Hillary "- the Queen of the Status Quo.
Bernie's theme of unacceptable economic inequality in capitalist America resonates with the humane message of Catholic Pope Francis. I voted for Bernie Sanders here in working class Rhode Island- which he won in a stunning primary victory over once invincible Hillary Clinton.
I cannot vote for Hillary Clinton as a " lesser evil ". I think the supporters of Bernie Sanders should now consider Jill Stein of the Green Party - or other " on the left " presidential candidates ( the Socialist Workers Party, the Socialist Equality Party.... or write in Mother Teresa ).
Now I suspect there will be so low a voter turn out in 2016 that it will evolve into a constitutional crisis of American " democracy ".
