Most of the collective " sin " of the Catholic Church is connected with its wielding the worldly " Sword of Constantine ". For centuries it has accommodated itself to every ruling class - decadent or progressive- in control of the state- when it did not itself constitute the state power. In the new millennium the Holy Spirit will demand that it attack the root of social evil : the capitalist way of life.
