President Obama nominates " brilliant " Judge Merrick Garland to Supreme Court

Judge Merrick Garland is said to possess " judicial brilliance " - whatever that means. Does the social order of America- what we read about every day- reflect " judicial brilliance " ?

Judge Garland is also reported to be presently faceless on " hot issues " -like abortion and the death penalty.

I find it ironic that " more love and kindness " Democrats -the ones who really want to be president- invariably support the death penalty-but with less zealotry than conservative Republicans.

The majesty of the law is not above the class structure of society- no matter how gifted and "decent " the judges.

Just what is " judicial brilliance " in capitalist America ?
