As a democratic Socialist-and a critical supporter of Senator Bernie
Sanders of Vermont- I am touched by Beyonce' s " X " tribute to the
black freedom fighter Malcolm X. The 50th anniversary of his
assassination in February,1965 was marked with tributes all over the country,
Malcolm X speeches were edited by socialist writer George Breitman in " Malcolm X Speaks " . Breitman noted that this electrifying revolutionary made a connection between racism and capitalism and imperialist oppression.
