Making life easier for senior citizens on fixed incomes is not " wasteful " from a democratic Socialist point of view. Ameliorating gross economic inequality is not " wasteful government spending "

Gina Raimondo is a Hillary Democrat. And long ago both Bill and Hillary Clinton lost their youthful idealism. Now they think : what is good for Wall Street is good for the working class. Not much different from Ayn Rand Republicans and the Rhode Island Center for Freedom and Prosperity.
No surprise if Bernie Sanders wins the Democratic primary in Rhode Island. Bernie should form a Labor Party.
