One writer I came across explains the " magic " of writing by arguing
cogently that writing IS thinking. So if you can THINK your way out of
any personal problem, writing is power. But the popular NPR article has
the tone of a charlatan sponsored INFOMERCIAL : WRITE YOUR WAY OUT OF
RULING CLASS OPPRESSION- which is what -not so few- corrupt, middle
class journalists manage to do. You can also LIE your way to the top.
Ask any right wing radio talk show host. But also ask any liberal
journalist if writing TRUTH endears you to the ruling class - or just
your boss.
What stands between YOU and your dream, kid ? Bourgeois propaganda wants you to believe the answer is YOURSELF. But that makes no more sense than your daily horoscope.
The more obviously rotten the capitalist system is to THINKING people- who may or may not write well-the more the lackeys come out of the woodwork to praise the wisdom of the market, the Ayn Rand dream of the " Virtue of Selfishness " and " A Life of Contempt ".
My goal is to promote the SOCIALIST VISION . Ask Bernie Sanders about that.
