As a democratic Socialist I can hardly applaud the " progress " of
bourgeois feminism in the war criminal service of U.S. imperialism. To
be sure, U.S. militarism will be as effective in making the world safe
from ISIS as Wilsonian blather and Wilson's Great War made the world "
safe for democracy ".
Consider ALL the former oppressive colonialist powers now gang bombing Syria. What a glorious alliance ! In general the " war on terrorism " is a hypocritical cover for rival imperialist interests in the Middle East.
Working class Americans have zero interest in more military adventures in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria. But they will do the fighting and the dying to make the world safe for the ONE PERCENT plutocracy.
Hillary is no more the PEACE candidate in 2016 than Richard M. Nixon was the peace candidate in 1968. I suspect 2016 will be a lot like 1968 in anti-war protests. The term " radicalization " will apply to a younger generation of anti-capitalist, anti-war, anti-imperialist rebels.
Does endless, needless war abroad create the domestic environment for domestic peace and unchallenged " law and order " ? The Middle East plague comes home !
Our own violent prone ruling class never thinks about fighting terrorism with more social justice.
