This informative article makes it perfectly clear that this state and
this country is long way from Senator Ted Kennedy's dream of health
care as a basic human right. So called Obama-care is a very shabby
compromise-only better than the Republican Ayn Rand Plan for caring for
the sick and elderly.
A real national health care plan would replace separate state Medicaid plans with a uniform national plan-really just a simple extension of Medicare.
A real national health care plan would simply make it ILLEGAL for medical doctors, psychiatrists, and even dentists to refuse to see and treat any patient.
We should also abolish the CULT OF THE DOCTOR. Thousands of RNs could be quickly trained-in two years perhaps- to be primary care physicians. And they will make house calls and be more than mediocre pill pushers for the big drug companies.
Recalling Dr. Ben Casey ! Recalling Dr. Kildare ! They will be working for Big Government-with a smile.
