We need a Republican Pope ? Your Holiness Donald Trump ? Well Pope Francis
has revived traditional Catholic social philosophy. He did not invent
it. This social philosophy goes back to Jesus' " Sermon on the Mount
". If taken seriously in the 20th and now the 21st century, there would
probably be little need for cranky, fanatical, sectarian " left-wing "
political parties in countries where Christianity took root.
Oddly enough, in the beginning, modern Israel imported its own ideas of socialism in the famous kibbutz.
Today the real guiding spirit of the Republican Party is the militant atheist and author of " The Virtue of Selfishness " Ayn Rand.Rand was also a militant Zionist.
Only " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders -among U.S. presidential candidates - comes close to the Pope's vision of a saner, kinder world.
But the Democratic Party is also controlled by TRUE BELIEVERS in capitalism too. These Neo-Democrats abandoned New Deal liberalism long ago.
And Harpy Hillary is no Eleanor Roosevelt.
And Jeb Bush is more passionately Capitalist than Catholic.
