I commend Congressman Langevin for doing the right thing.
Supporting President Obama's treaty with Iran will hardly hurt his
political career in Rhode Island. For a change fanatical Zionists of the
Israel lobby have been checked by wiser forces. Again, I note that
hardly ANY elected official-Democrat or Republican-mentions Israel 's
nuclear arsenal. Why should belligerent, apartheid , Zionist Israel be
more trusted with nuclear weapons than Islamic Iran ?
Why should American working class kids -mostly Catholic and Protestant - be sacrificed for Israel ? When did American popular " democracy " ever decide that we have " a special relationship with Israel " ? We should stop funding this menace to peace in the Middle East.
The prime minister Netanyahu did not win any hearts and minds of the common people here with his arrogant and meddling speech to the Congress earlier in the year. I commend Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont for protesting Netanyahu's officially unwelcomed visit.
The famous neurologist Oliver Sacks just died. In his book about his boyhood " Uncle Tungsten " he describes how his Jewish family in England were annoyed and bullied by Zionist fundraisers for settlements in Israel.
These bullies are finally being slapped down in America.
